Da Book: Temerious Trek Through 2001
Things to Do Before you Die
In 2005, I bought a book that would
change my life. No, it wasn’t
The
Bible
, or The Secret or The Success
Principle
, although I have and use
those books as well. The book I’m
talking about is
2,001 Things to Do
Before you Die
. Within its pages
resides every kind of task from
“Attend a couture show in Paris” to
“Surround yourself with trust.” All
sorts of cool things reside inside.

Since I picked up what I now refer to
as Da Book, I’ve been studiously
completing the tasks. One of the last
tasks is “count up everything in these
pages you’ve already done.” At the
onset I had 150. I don’t remember
which these were but as I go through
and document my travels via Da Book
it will become clear.

That is my purpose now. I don’t want
to be inactive as I finish my Things. I
don’t want to have the tasks slip from
memory. This is good stuff!!! I want to
live in and through Da Book. I’m
beginning this journey at a very
particular time in my life.

In less than two weeks, the boys and I
will pack our boxes, two cats, and two
ferrets into an 85’ Chevy Suburban
and leave the State of Arizona.
Goodbye disappointment. Goodbye
financial instability. Goodbye 110
degree weather. Goodbye and Good
riddance. But I want to remain in the
Now. This is a good place to be. On
that note, I will delve into the pages of
Da Book. I’ll pick a task I have
completed and tell about it and choose
another I will complete within the next
three days. This will be a wild journey
and I’m glad to be embarking.
2001 Things to Do Before You Die

Each week, I will open a link to a couple
stories of my completion of the tasks.
They will only be available for the at
week, but others will replace them. If the
task is in Lime Green (my signature
color), it is available for your reading
pleasure. If it is in orange, it has been
recently available and you'll have to wait
for the book. Thanks for taking this
journey with me. Enjoy!
